The Ilyushin Il-112T is a light, twin-engine, transport turboprop aircraft intended to carry a wide range of goods weighing up to 6 tons at ranges between 1,000 kilometers and 5,000 kilometers. The Il-112 aircraft is being designed to be fully compliant with ICAO noise and emissions standards. All the flight information is displayed through the cockpit's six LCDs. Two TV7-117ST high fuel efficiency turboprops each rated at 2,800-hp drive six-bladed propellers enabling a cruise speed of 550 to 580 kph. The production Il-112T cargo aircraft is expected to operate from both airports and unprepared runways.

The Ilyushin Il-112V is a light, twin-turboprop, transport airplane being designed as the replacement for all existing light military transport aircraft within the Russian Air Force according to plans released in May 2009. The production Il-112V transport aircraft will be capable of taking off from unprepared runways carrying cargo and personnel below 10 tons. Over 70 airplanes of this type will be ordered to replace the aging fleet of An-26 airplanes. The program was cancelled by the Russian Ministry of Defense in 2011 but re-started in 2014 with an entry intro service planned for 2017. As of late 2014, the maiden flight is planned for 2016 and the entry into service by 2018. In March 2015, the Il-112 project was delayed with the first flight in 2017 and the first deliveries scheduled for 2019. Finally, the Il-112V performed its maiden flight on March 30, 2019. It is expected to replace the existing An-24 and An-26 airplanes within the Russian Air Force.
The project was cancelled paving the way for the Il-212 turbofan-powered transport aircraft.
